2009 Telethon
As always, we want to
thank you for your continuous support of The
International Association for Organ Donation (IAOD).
This year we will be celebrating our 10th
anniversary of building awareness and education in
the community.
On Monday, April 20, 2009 the IAOD and our partners,
along with Fox 2 TV, will be celebrating the efforts
made in the Arab, Asian, Hispanic and currently the
African American communities to provide education
about organ donation by hosting our very first
Telethon!
We continue to work with our partners in the
community to help increase the organ donor registry.
The IAOD knows all too well how horrifying it is to
have a family or friend with any type of medical
condition especially one that can lead to the need
for an organ transplant. Most people never think of
organ donation until it affects them personally. We
want to continue creating opportunities to dialogue
about this issue and by doing so save lives.
So please mark your calendar for the 2009 IAOD / Fox
2 Telethon, on April 20, 2009. The event will run
all day with live feeds from our call-in center and
interviews with many notable community supporters.
As a friend of the IAOD your donations help fund:
speaking engagements, educational materials and
programs, as well as promotional materials.
Join your neighbors and friends by calling in your
pledge that day. Be sure to keep tuned to Fox 2
throughout the day for live updates and some
terrific news coverage.
